It's finally here. Can I just say that I love love, and oh yes, LOVE the holidays? I know, everyone does. Everyone that is.... except Mark. It's not so much that he hates it or anything, he just doesn't have the same enormous amount of enthusiasm that I think is appropriate for this time of year. But don't worry, I'm working on it. My Christmas quest this year is to convince Mark that the holidays are the best ever. I just love it all. The music, the shopping, the parties, the lights, and especially the wrapping of the presents. I was bound and determined to find the exact perfect wrapping paper for our first Christmas together. I searched. I walked up and down the wrapping paper isle in Hobby Lobby with a glazed over grin on my face for longer than I would like to admit, and finally found the perfect rolls.
First and foremost.... our first Christmas tree!
Christmas party at the Jones house....
Gingerbread houses galore
Sav and Mom

Shannon and Dusty...A little jealous of their mansion

Cami and Anna

Maddy and Carson's
Some cute kids

Our final production

The whole village.

Reading your blog always puts a smile on my face!! Thanks, I really needed one today! That gingerbread house party looked like so much fun..I love all the houses! Your tree looks so good, by the way! And I totally know what you mean about finding the perfect wrapping paper! I had to find 5 different ones (for each of us) that really coordinated well, but were different...ahhh, it took forever!
I love the gingerbread houses. I need to take some lessons. Good luck on getting Mark warmed up to the Christmas Fuzzies a little more. Bytheway, I love your hair. Merry Christmas.
Your tree is darling. I hope you find success in getting Mark to love Christmas as much as you do. I feel like the grinch this year cause we don't even have a tree up! Stupid dog.... :)
You should have seen the shack of a gingerbread house that Mark and Adam built a few years back - grass (green sprinkles) growing on the roof, candy cars all over in the yard - you get the picture... The fact that your gingerbread house looks as good as it does is a testament to the positive effect you've already had upon Mark's Christmas cheer:) I love how you decorated your tree!
I LOVE your tree! I really want to see it in person! Saturday was so fun and your gingerbread house was darling! I'm sure you can convince Mark that Christmas is the best...I'm surprised he isn't already convinced after the forgetten carols! How about lunch today?:)
I have complete confidence that you will be able to win Mark over! Your houses look so fun, and your hair is cute! Did you get it cut?
The party was way fun and I love your tree! It is not Charlie Brown at all! I think that we ned to make gingerbread houses a tradition:)
I love your family and their parties! You guys are so great! Let's get together soon!
I know! We keep saying that and then the weeks fly by. Are you and Mark going to Ogden tomorrow to do the Christmas village thing with our families? I sure hope so!
First off I'm with you on love, love, loving the holidays. Now just keep in mind it might take a few years to get Mark in the holiday mood...this was the first Halloween Paul actually enjoyed! Good luck. Love the tree, the gingerbread houses and your new haircut. I am excited to see you in a few weeks. Hey, I need your new address to mail you your Christmas card!
I love this time of year! That is so fun that you made gingerbread houses! This is your first Christmas being married, right? It's the best! I love your background!
